Hey everyone I'm new on here so go easy on me if this isnt in the right section ha. I have a 2011 tC I got back in January. My driverside headlight is hazy and condensates when it rains. I took it to the dealer and they claimed I have "aftermarket bulbs" even though they are oem and came with the car.... Therefore they will not replace the headlight.. is there anything I can do about this and if worse comes to worse, does anyone have a spare headlight they're willing to sell..

Well how can they possibly tell you they are aftermarket bulbs if they are the OEM bulbs that came with the car? Sounds like horse sh*t to me.

Yeah, they need to replace that headlamp. If you had HIDs/LEDs installed, that could possibly be a different story. But if you haven't even touched your bulbs, don't take no for an answer. I don't get how they can say something ignorant like that and refuse service on something you haven't modified.

 

That is 100% BS, even if you have aftermarket bulbs the light has a defect, Unless you altered the Assy they need to replace it. Call toyota corp. and fill a complaint if the dealership refuses to help.

 

Easily resolved. Write a letter to corporate and find another service dealer.

 

I would find another dealer, or make at stink at your current dealer. Do you have any other mods to the car to indicate that you even touched it at all?

So Toyota is saying that once your bulb burns out and you replace it, you no longer get to have a functional headlight? Ridiculous

 

try another dealer or do this:

 

Typical Toyota Service. I'd find another dealer, or i'd make a huge scene at the one you already went to

 

Try different deal. They always giving excuses to avoid the warranty!!
