Depends on what you're trying to spend man. Coilovers are awesome and of course better than springs...but that's going to cost you 5x the amount of a set of springs...

A sponsor discount from CUSCO might knock that down to 3-4x the price of springs...

well i've already decided on coils...no matter the cost really

its just...jump for STDs now? or continue to pray and hope for CUSCO to make one

...i dont really care for the discount, as long as i get coils

the main thing is...i want my car lowered!

OR...i could spend a couple hundred now for springs just to get it lowered...then when i get coils i will switch it then and just swallow the cost i paid for the springs...

the dilemma

Haha well alright then! Well I guess I am just confused on what is so great about coilovers? Other than being able to go insanely low, are there any benefits that a car that will probably never touch a track see (like mine)?

stock struts+stock springs are designed to work together

stock struts+aftermarket springs...not so much

aftermarket springs will almost always lead to blown struts in the future...so why not spend the money now on coilovers (which are springs+struts combined and designed to work together) than spend a little on springs now...and then spend more on struts later

that and it being adjustable helps...if u feel like u want to go low u can go low...if u want to go up u can go up...or anywhere inbetween depending on whats best for u

(ex. keep it high for DD and then drop it low for the weekend when u go to a car meet)

True. I guess that means the cost a coilover set is knocked down to only 2x the cost of a set of springs and shocks then. With the added cost being a premium for adjustability. That makes it make more sense to me then.

That's two cookie conversations in the same day! We gotta chill out, I'm gonna start gaining weight. My desired height is zero cookies.

^im same as you right now...

nyways, back to justin's dilemma. if $$ is not a problem for you on buying them coils. then, dont buy springs. if cusco is gonna make one, them wait for them. they might give you discount if not free... if you really cant wait, then buy STDs... lolz

that is my dilemma! i will get coils that is decided...

but when?

wait for cusco...who MIGHT or MIGHT NOT make it
or just get STDs now?...but what IF cusco does make it, plus if they do decide on it...i would think having the springs/struts stock is best for them to work with on the r&d part

Yea I probably just wait till I can get some purple ones. I'll talk to d2, bc, and tanabe see what they say.

the STD suspension looks awesome...i want it!

BUT i just talked to CUSCO and they are teasing me with a "maybe" they will make a set for the tC2...ahhhH! i want to lower it already...but i dont want to throw money at springs, id rather spend on coils...
but IF i can get them free or sponsored discount...id rather go that route...i hate waiting..............
Just get stds and if cusco comes out with coils sell the stds. Yea you won't be selling them for what you bought em for but you could possibly get a great deal on cuscos and really you won't lose anything..

And btw I think your the luckiest of us all with all the suspension parts dam near free!!! Lol

Haven't seen any rotors (front or rear), but EBC makes front and rear pads and TRD makes stainless steel brake lines. Otherwise, brake lines should be fairly easy for a shop to fabricate.

Fastscions has front rotora rotors drilled and slotted but I can't find the rear. Maybe need to call rotora?
Ebc brakes.. I have the front pads can't find the rear.. Do I need to call ebc or do you mind sending me a link?
And where can I find the brake lines? Trdsparks?

Ah... I didn't realize rotora had come out with anything. Cool.

Curiously enough, the rear pads for the tC2 are the same as for the tC1. I was skeptical at first, but after talking with Scion Corp and two different brake pad manufacturers, they should work.

And, yes, TRDSparks.com has the brake lines (though the site incorrectly says it's only for the BBK). You can probably also get a shop to fabricate the lines for you. It's a relatively easy thing to make. Right line length and diameter and fittings...
