Default Hood chips already?

Anyone else getting a ton of hood chips? Car has only been on the road since January 3rd and I have at least 14 chips in my hood already. I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue?

There is a film cover you can get that lays over almost like a bra but is almost invisible. If your getting a lot of chips I would see if there is anyone in your area that can do it especially since your going to pay for paint anyways

Ya, you might want to consider the chip guard for that. What's your mileage now? I'm not chipping that badly and I have about 11k on mine.

I have it. It's okay, but definitely better than chips

I'll probably get it on my new one. Current tC doesn't have it and wish I did it.

Either increase your following distance and avoid cruising behind trucks or keep the car in the garage, chips are inevitable with use.

Thats why large trucks generally have a sign on the back of them that say "stay back a minimum of 100ft." Saving on gas mileage by riding so close is not as effecient as saving money repairing dings and chips.

Yeah I do keep a good distance back. My old Camry did not have this issue but it had a bug deflector on it.

i had a bunch on my hood before i hit 1k... i was going to order the film, but then i have to fix all those chips before install, im thinkin about getting a CF hood later on and getting that completely covered. and as far as seeing the film, i guess it depends on the color of your car, but my buddy has a silver F-150 with the film and i never noticed it in 4 months unil he told me about it.

Hood chips are how you know you truly own a tC...Kinda like jeep wranglers fall apart so you know its a wrangler but still love it. If you didn't have a hood chip yet, then it wouldn't be a tC.
