It's the most cost effective route. And if I know you, you're a fan of the cost effective route.

Eh, I get your reason for rubbing but don't let winter driving hold you back. There is no way that the additional fraction of an inch is really going to make or break you in the snow.

Default Fun w/ Dick & Jane

I decided to play around with my girl's Nikon D7000 and a few lenses today. I had no idea what I was doing, but it was neat!

Some of the photos remind me of a scene from Fun With Dick And Jane

Really??? I guess I just don't have a clue about that north weather. I just figured it couldn't be too much different from MD.

Yessir!

And they weren't gardening haha they were illegal immigrants looking for someone to pick them up for labor. There's a Home Depot right behind where I did those shots. Just like the scene from the movie lol.

EDIT: and yes, they were looking at me oddly haha

Thanks a lot guys I appreciate it!

One thing I've noticed with this Sizzling Crimson is the damn paint looks different from every angle you shoot it. I was looking for some consistency when I first started shooting...gave that up pretty quickly lol.

And Mamba, that camera is insane...I thought my Canon SD990 was pretty badass...this Nikon makes it look like a toy. I played with a few of the shooting modes, but have a long way ahead of me before I can actually say I know how to use it. I've got some studying to do lol.

Oh yeah, side note, I got my replacement fog ballast in from DDM today. It was actually not a bad turnaround...exactly two weeks from when I mailed them back the defective one. This time the shipping from China only took 8 days from acceptance to delivery.

I'm pleased with their customer service and it surpassed my expectations and horror stories I've heard about them.

HAHAH would have been better if they came up to you and asked if you wanted one of them to model in front of your car

i actually have the D5000.....so the D7000 is a lot more tricked out. personally i barely play around with the features...i have my own studying to do haha..

instead i look at the angles and just get used to what looks right. also my D5000 came with a flip screen...i can get some crazy shots with it. like i can be standing up and still get a really low shot or put the camera up high with the screen down and get a high shot without having to go up anything. also getting a flash helps! and when there is sunlight, use a lens hood

and i know Canons are good DSLRs too.....but Nikon kicks butt!! lol
