Just An Old Retired "Build Thread"..

Ohhh nice man. That flip screen must come in handy! I definitely could have used it for a few of my shots. I was practically laying on the ground for some of them lol. And now I don't feel quite as bad for not knowing how to use all the features

a buddy of mine that has the same camera (as me) and uses it for photoshoots too says that the camera has an editor. so u can adjust photos after u took them
i never played around with it because i like have the original photo and IF i need to edit it, i'm much more comfortable using my computer/photoshot
personally...i'm learning how to shot the basics first and get used to the camera/any equipment (lens, filters, flashes, etc)
i know more or less what each setting (on the ****) does and use it as needed...but i usually use P (program) more than anything and then the Micro (Flower) for small/closeup/detailed shots
once you get a hang of that, then you start learning the little tweaks like shutter speed, aperture, and all the other good (advanced) stuff

Dude that flower puts in work on the close-ups! During my shoot I stuck with scene mode and messed around with some of the options. But you're right...I definitely just played around with her lenses more than anything. And I can't manually focus for the life of me...I always have to let the camera auto-focus to get the best shot.
Oh yeah, I decided to google the camera and lenses just to see how much she paid for them. It was very upsetting. She could have spent that money to get me a set of expensive wheels and tires

Sirius SCC1 + Audiovox SIR-TOY1
Installed my Sirius satellite radio today that consisted of:
- Sirius SCC1 Universal Tuner/Antenna Kit
- Audiovox SIR-TOY1 Sirius Interface for Toyota/Lexus/Scion
I went with this satellite radio kit over the one offered by Scion because:
- Cheaper
- I like the Sirius channel lineup better than XM that was offered by Scion
- The antenna included is magnetic and not adhesive like the Scion kit
Prior to installation, I reviewed the install directions for the Scion kit found on trdsparks website...it seemed very overwhelming! Pretty much all of the interior panels on the passenger side needed to be removed...as well as the seat!
A couple friends helping me rip everything out
Everything snapped out and snapped back into place pretty seamlessly though. It took me and my friends around four hours, but it actually wasn't a hard install at all. trdsparks instructions were valuable.

you can put that satellite antenna in your dash....when you bolt the radio back in, stick the magnet antenna on the top of your radio. Satellite signals are unimpeded by anything but metal. The good audio shops will do this with nav antennas rather than place them on top of the dash or outside car. No compromise in signal quality. By the way, that amp is awesome.....well done.

Yeah, I talked to a few people and they said they went that route without issues. Just for my own piece of mind, I wanted it at the Toyota recommended location outside of the car. I didn't know the science of satellite signals beforehand, but even if I did I probably would have still put it outside just for my own sanity lol.
And thanks man, I'm a JL snob lol...only JL amps and subs for me

And you should just get the Sportlines! Maybe hold off until we get some RUCAs though so you can get those huge rears cambered if need be.
I got it installed at an independent shop like 2 mins from my apartment. Good folks. I was in and out in under 45 mins and $84.
- It was raining that day and he had a single car garage with very limited space because it was full of junk
- We took several breaks
Honestly not too difficult/complicated of an install. You and Nick would pwn that install if you wanted to go for it.
