Just picked up a 2012 Scion TC
Hello everyone. I'm Roxlo, I've been a long time e46 BMW 3-series owner, this afternoon I traded in my BMW for a 2012 Scion TC and couldn't be happier. I'll have pics up here tomorrow after I detail it (refused to let the dealer scratch it up).
Anyways, I was wondering what to expect generally with maintenance on this car? Obviously coming from a BMW I expect to have less maintenance and more reliability, but as an avid DIYer it would be great to know what I need to do to keep the TC in top shape.
Also, I had the dealer keep the standard radio in so I can see what other options I have regarding the radio. What do you guys suggest on that front? What are some common things done to these cars to upgrade the looks/experience?
Pics coming tomo!

Thats the best part, with fully synthetic oil, oil changes come every 10,000 miles. Not much to do but give it the weekly bath. Congrats on your purchase and hopefully you enjoy.
By the way, this is the DIY site of your dreams with feedback and reviews from many DIYers...

welcome welcome. yes maintenance on these cars are very simple compared to a higher end vehicle. with the oil it says every 10k but some (like myself) always do it every 5k because thats just the way its always been done.
overall appearance.. just look around see what you like and see if it works for you. IMO..first thing.. drop it..lol. even if its just a inch. it looks a whole lot better with less of that awful wheel gap

Welcome Rox! This is a great site for ideas on what to do. Plenty of build threads with how to, reviews and pics. Plus there's a wide variety of builds, so you should be able to find something for you.
Lowering springs and HIDs seem to be the top 2 mods, but there are plenty of options.
