Default My 2012 Nautical Blue tC

Well, i've been lurking around the forum for quite some time, figured i would finally post up.

My name is Brandon, I'm 20 years old. I Purchased the car July 17th of this year. Was the only one on the lot at the time. Normally i was never a fan of most blue colored vehicles, but this one caught my eye, and yes i was actually going to look at tCs. I had intentions of buying a 2nd gen as soon as they rolled out, but had to wait a little. The Nautical Blue in my opinion is one of the better colored vehicles out there and loved it from the start.

Here's to the day i picked it up

Don't have too much done to it, but that'll change come spring time. Winter will be coming soon so normally i take the season off and just ride as it is.

But what i do have done so far is simply 6000k HIDs in low and hi beams. and 3000k in the fogs, 20% tint all around., and swapped out some of the interior lights to blue LEDs.

I havn't had much time to do any more than that because this past September i was driving down the road, and a construction dump trailer felt the need to unload thousands of stones onto the front of my vehicle. I was furious, about $4,500 worth of damage. New front plastic inserts, fog lights, head lights, fully re-painted hood, fenders, bumper, and a new windshield. While they were at it, i had them remove the license plate bracket and fill in the holes to paint over it. It still bothers me to this day as the car IMO is no longer in perfect condition as i had it. I have to get it fully detailed this spring because of the swirls in the paint, which hopefully can be removed.

But i do dig the looks without the front bumper:

As for future mods, thats one reason i came here. I would love to do some lowering springs. I would do coils but seem very pricey. Descendant exhaust would be on my list as well, hopefully come spring time i can still get my hands on one. Also either descendant intake if it's available, or an Injen. Then some cosmetic mods here and there, always looking for new things and ideas but i also want to find new things to do, and to share with other people. I have always been into clean looking rides, without going "over the top"

You made a good choice with the color. There are few of those.

It's a great color, and what stinks is there is about 2 more of these the same color in my area, and ever since i got mine i just keep seeing them. There are about 2 white ones around me, a cement, and a RS8.0 which i see around often. What stinks is the 8.0 was at my dealer about 3-4 weeks after i bought this, and i totally wanted it, but kind of glad i didn't as saving the extra 4-4.5k was good for me

For me its the other way around. Theres a white, cement, 2 rs7s, etc... around me. I had to special order mine (Nautical Blue Manual), and had a 6 month wait to get that configuration. The autos can be found at any given dealer. The car I test drove was a manual rs7, then I ordered mine.

Now the only guy that has a blue one in my area also has the same ideas of making it zelas themed. I have the badging, but he has the spoiler.

Havn't really posted in this thread lately, as i havn't really done too much more to the tC, but come spring time more and more will be rolling in when the weather gets better

but since my last update i've swapped my front parking lights with white, stage 2 diode dynamic LEDs, and order my lowering springs.

i have also been looking around at intakes lately and i am in a toss up between the injen and AEM so hopefully ordering one of those here pretty soon

So i just got something in the mail

i have a buddy with a cnc/laser cutter and i had ideas of a license plate to throw on at car meets, i saw this on the picture of the 5axis tc and wanted one since, and since ive got this buddy who can laser cut license plates i had him make me this:

i originally saw it here:

small difference as the one i have has the holes on the bottom for the plate bolts but other than that it looks great, and identical

if other people are interested in them i can prolly get them made, more interest i get the cheaper i can probably get them
