Hello everyone, just took home my Black 2011 tC last night. Loved the drive home... I have a pre-existing relationship with Esurance... they dont have the car in their records yet and the people in charge of saying "lets do it!" weren't there so they couldn't insure it.
Sitting in my driveway right now as I wrangle me up some coverage.
Also, just a side note, I'm a filmmaker, so as soon as i can drive it somewhere nice i'll post a vid for anyone looking to buy one or just drool.

Well... I may not be making that video... note to self for next time: never buy a black car at night.
Tell me why its scratched to hell?
Heading to the dealer now.
If this doesn't go well... there might be some jail time coming up for me, lol.

Are they scratches or swirls? Well maybe they are one in the same but we have seen a decent amount of owners on this forum encountering swirling on their darker colored cars. I personally have it on my Sizzling Crimson.
Does anyone know if this is something we can take to the dealer and demand correction?

Swirls happen on all cars, one wash using anything but microfiber to dry it and you got swirls... heck heavy winds on the highway will cause swirls(of course they aren't swirled in nature, they are more lines, but you get the idea)

they're fixing the scratches on tuesday and installing my fog lights.
now i got a question about this "eco mode"...
does turning it off mean you just turn off the indicator or is there some performance difference that occurs?

You cant turn off the eco mode light. That is just an indicator stating that you are driving economically. The button you are refering to is traction control, which you probably dont want to turn off anyway...

yes you can turn on/off the eco mode by holding down the button that scrolls between eco/odo/mpg when eco mode is displayed. my question was does this solely turn off the light that displays "eco" or does it affect the performance of the car
(i'm pretty sure it is just the light)
thanks

AAAHHHH!!!! my mistake, I have a manual transmission and the eco light doesnt exist(apparently all manual owners drive like asshats)... I didnt realize that you had the option to turn it off through the guage cluster...

asshats... Thats a cool thing right? I mean, din't we all grow up thinking one day we would be allowed to drive like asshats? I know I did...
