Default Project Yota

I figured i would throw another tc in the mix with a minimal build thread. I like seeing everyone tossing around ideas and seeing what people come up with. I see a lot of members on here with modding done which is nice to get some inspiration from. Here's just a few ideas I have for future and what's currently on the car.
If anybody is interested where I got any parts from or how I did a particular area just lmk. 99.9% of this has been done already though lol
Please excuse pics, taken from tablet and its windy as hell right now so the car is dirty.

2011 tc
Crimson mica
6 speed
8600 miles to date
Bought back in may 2011 new with 46 miles on it (idk y but i wasn't happy about it)

Exterior
8000k hid swap
Led parking lights
Led front turn signals
Painted front emblem (Toyota emblem soon maybe?)
Tinted tails & 3rd brake light (I can give a quick DIY if anyone needs help )
B pillars carbon wrapped
Tinted turn signals
Carbon fiber headlight trim
Led license plate lights

Tein stech (camber issue like a lot of lowered Tc's on here)
Minimal exhaust mod

Interior
Full led swap (white)
Under dash lights (white) 6led each side on 2 terminal switch. (Ask for DIY if interested )
Minimal carbon fiber pieces ***

***
This is purely my opinion of a product I purchased but rvinyl dash kit ....save your $$$

Future mods
Major engine mods will most likely be minimal due to having a Toy/project already. I have been debating the turbo route but I would prefer a a NA build. Up the compression, and maybe get a little more displacement out of it
It kinda depends if I decide to piece out my entire other car to fund a new project, (fully built 240 if anyone is interested pm for details)

3m carbon wrap certain dash pieces
Carbon color paint wheels.
Wrap hood and trunk
Led gauge hvac swap (white with orange/ red needles )
Full suspension components first above almost anything. IMO I feel this is one of the biggest are improvement this car can se
Front strut bar
4 point brace
Trunk brace
Coilovers
New seats . I may get new seat covers and put my old sparco evos in. (Far down the road)
Front grill Lee's
Toyota emblems

Thanks for looking.
Will take better pics with camera when weather clears up

These pics don't do the colors any justice. The headlights are more almost a purplish blue to look at and the parking lights are whitish. I ordered new amber leds to be legit. Nevada isn't friendly with led and bright white ur signals,

Haha thanks!
I won't be doing much more. I keep itching at digging into this motor.

I was doing a little research and its possible to use a 1ar-fe crank (sienna, Tacoma) with a set of custom rods. Whether the stock pistons would work for the time being I'm not sure. Those would probably go as well considering their most likely cast pistons. This would give a 2.7l displacement!!!! Depending on rod/stroke ratio I'm not sure what the rev limiter would be on this. I'm sure some quick math would yield this. All in all this would be a moderate build, I'm guessing in the $2500 part range, ($700 crank, $700+ rods,$500+ pistons etc). I've gone through the forms a little bit but I haven't seen any major internal engine mods. Anybody toyed with the 2ar or 1ar before?

Descendant is building some custom rods and pistons (I believe) for ZeroEyeQueue, but that's the only thing I've seen. Some of us have sent messages to other engine shops but with no luck so far.

Good luck and nice start!

Looks great. I wouldn't mind seeing the 240 build either.

P is correct, World-Racing/Descendant has custom internals from JE Pistons, and I believe Cunningham for the rods for a bottom end build. I think they've also done some head work on the race engine posted on these forums.

The crankshaft from a 1AR-FE engine (which powers the Toyota Venza) adds 7mm of stroke to the 2AR-FE, resulting in a 7-percent bump in displacement up to 2.7-liters.

Ill have too search a little further then. I'm really considering cracking this motor open. They have 2arfe for like $2000 low miles all over the internet.

I was debating between colors. The cement caught my eye, but then I thought "real men rock purple" lol....

And my build thread for the Nissan is in my signature . Thanks for the commemts guys. This forum seems informative and full of nice people

Yeah, the Crimson definitely requires some light to show it's true beauty.

Very clean work. How long is the life expectancy of the vynil? It's hot and humid as hell here, it can cause stuff like that to fail pretty quick. I would like to do the same to my interior but I don't want to have a sticky mess after a couple years.

Life expectancy is like 7 years I believe. But in Vegas it gets to be 115° with interior temps hot enough to melt some stuff.
Just Google "3m di-noc carbon fiber vinyl" tons of info out there.
If anyone in Vegas is interested in install (among other things) let me know..
Thanks for the kind words guys:thumbup:
