Default Where to put sub?

So my friend was saying something about how I can probably fit a sub under the backseats? What's the best place to keep it? I dont really wanna keep it in the trunk ~ also what brands are good/how many inches

Love,
Your typical amateur

I don't think theres space under the rear seats. You can get the stealth box which does on the side without affecting trunk capacity much. Maybe a shallow box? Go to crutchfield or sonixelectronic and look around. I used to have dual fosgates t1s and they were pretty much overkill :/ looked nice though! imo id go with either alpine or fosgates and maybe kenwood. Go with either 10 or 12 in depending on your needs.

if youre going for a budgeted sub - infiniti or alpine are great bang for the buck. if you have a little more to spend, which will give you the best overall sound and power -JL or Boston Acoustic. 1 10" JL W7 will give you great power and accuracy. I wish i went JL when i got my subs. 10" will be punchier with good bass. 12" is harder hitting with the deep bass and with be a little heavier. what are you looking to spend?

i got a 12 W-7 and the box is most of my truck. if you want shallow mounting might try memphis, they have a shallow one also

just remember you need an amp + wiring to make that sub worth while.

$100-150 doesnt give you a lot of room. check out something at crutchfield in the 150-300 rms range - maybe a shallow kicker? if you want full trunk space and feel comfortable without the spare - build your sub box into the floor of the trunk and lose no trunk space

I was concerned with cargo space... went to my local audio shop, I wanted a custom set up in the space where the "JL stealth box" goes but for them to "custom" make a enclosure it was way too much $$.. long story short the owner said come check this out.. took me to his car it had 2 digital Design 8" subs long story short IMO BEST sounding system i have heard.. loved it so much I bought 1 with a nice box from the same manufacturer it looks good in the tC2 and best of all does not take up much space... installed a amp under passenger seat, and used "banana audio connectors" so i can easily pull out the sub.. All my friends are blown away with how great the audio in my car is.. I love opening the hatch and they see a SMALL 8" sub that hits better than there 10" and 12" every time people are shocked... in the end it depends on the brand.Last Overall in the end its what YOU want! and what you can afford! what works best for you! good luck with your search...
(I am using the base Pioneer audio system)
