hi i am new to this forum have looked all over and can't seem to find an answer to my question. Can you take out the stock speaker grills on the doors the scion tc and replace them with after market ones?

A simple glance at your door panel and you would see that the speaker grilles are attached. There are not any aftermarket grilles available either. The only way would be to cut them out and fabricate your own grille or just leave the speakers exposed.

The bottom two grills are attached, so you would have to do what Locke suggested, However, the top grill for the tweeter is removable.


One thing to note is that the bottom grill is round but the speaker is a 6x9...so the grill has a spot on it that isn't see through to hide the speaker a little bit. Fabricating a round grill may cause you to see the oval speaker or other parts of the door's interior. It's not a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it.
