CUSCO Strut Tower Bar - Final Protoype!
#24
if you guys don't live too far from Huntington Beach, drive down to the HQ and check it out. More interest in Cusco products by the Scion community will convince Cusco to make more parts for our cars (tC1, tC2, xB, etc.).

only an estimate...but its cheaper than the TRD
trdspakrs has the trd bar msrp at 245...scion.com has 285
cusco told me estimated msrp is 200
and in my opinion the cusco one is designed better, i saw it first hand, held it, etc...but then again i only saw photos of the trd one

You know, I remember reading a huge thread about how "ebay" strut bars wouldn't work because they were three separate pieces, connected by the same system shown here.
Interesting.
I like it, now tell them to make one for the xb2!!

The debate b/w one piece and three piece strut bars can go forever.

tculater its still in production...final designs were sent to Japan about a week ago so the final product (shipped from Japan) is estimated to come in late july the earliest....they said "once they test it in my car and it fits without a problem....it goes immediately on sale to the public"
MSRP is estimated to be around $200
install was easy, the guys took a while to figure it out...but that is just because it was the first tC2 they got to really take a look at
the final product might be have less removal than the photos i have because i know they want things to be as easy for the consumer as possible
but even if there is still removal...its just screws and poping of parts held on by clips....easy and pretty typical for our lego cars

Looking at where it runs, it's begging to have a master cylinder brace attached. Cusco has a few braces (I've seen for Subarus and Nissans) that have a brake master cylinder brace attached to the strut brace; I wish there were more like that!
