It was mentioned in Wellesley's thread about camber being off back in july. The front adjusts, but we still need some sort of camber answer for the rear....and I'm not sure how much the front adjusts from factory. Maybe someone could shed light on whether these front bolts are an upgrade worth buying or not necessary.

I ordered these like 2 days ago.
I want to see if I can get them to work in the back of the car. If not, I will toss them on the fronts for some extra clearance.

^^so the bolts will add to the amount you can already adjust the front (ex. if front factory adjusts + or - 1.5, than the added 1.75 bolts will allow camber adjustment + or - 3.25?)......and goes w/o saying post ur findings on the rear.....exciting

Everything I have looked at so far suggests that there actually is no camber adjustment for the front either... I think it was misconstrewed because of something posted by TRD with the TRD springs, and everyone just agreed with it... if someone has a schematic to prove me wrong, please post it up to verify that the front is actually adjustable... but when I had my alignment done way back when, the tech had said there was no way for him to adjust the front or rear for camber...

went to BeanGarage to check out the KSports again, apparently the Pillow ball upper mounts in the front will allow camber adjustment on the fronts.....but the dang rear....what to do???

I have a feeling the camber bolts will not be effective for what we need on the rear, the RUCAs actually move seperate of the wheel hubs on the rear(hence the reason for the bearing), where as the bottom of the shock is stationary to the hubs on the front... I am pretty sure the bolts will just move the mounting point while the bearings will resettle further out, effectively not adjusting anything while destroying the bearing itself... but hey, if we dont try, we wont know...

IMHO, in order to adjust camber the arms themselves will need to be either longer or shorter than factory, but I am no engineer, Im just the guy playing with suspension parts while bored...

Wish they had those on sale last year when I got a pair of bolts from NAPA for about $40 for my tC1. Has anyone gotten the part number for the camber arms for the rear? If they're the same as the tC1 then go for the Hotchkis arms as they seem to offer the better adjustment range.

There's no adjustable arms for the rear out yet, if a well known brand made these then they would make bank. There's a group buy here on scionlife for someone trying to make these, but I'm not sure how well that's going

this is what i've been screaming on multiple threads (prolly annoying erbody) The first company to come out w/Rucas/camber kit/anything is gonna own the market. I talked to spc yesterday for a while about RUCAs, and he said they make em tc1, but tc2 is too new. The kid tryin to get em made had a double digit group buy w/in a few hours.

I have SPC chamber bolts on my other car (a Honda Fit Sport) and they come loose about once a year...I don't like them and that is not the way to adjust the front camber. The proper way is at the top of the shock strut.

I have an alignment appointment set up for tomorrow at noon We will see if this is possible. If not, I will have them throw the camber bolts on the front and then shim the rear...

Actually the dealership has several bolts for the front to correct camber at the lower strut, there's a PDF I saw that had a chart and the different marked bolts to get the camber corrected. Regarding tightening of the SPC bolts for the Fit, does SPC have their own torque spec? The NAPA ones list to torque at a higher number than OEM specs.

Lots of people use them…they work…kind of. I’ve got them on one of my other cars…only because I could not find a strut with an adjustable billow ball mount. It should not be your fist choice...only your last.
It is much better to adjust camber at the top of the shock tower...TEIN for example.
