I upgraded my wheels and tires since the above posts. Ride quality drastically improved. I am very happy with the S-techs now. Hope that helps.

I much preferred the stock wheels over the ones you got, but this is your car so all power to ya.

BTW when you had the stock wheels, were you still using the factory tire size or was it different size than factory?

Okay so I ended up going the Tein S-Techs since I was happy with it on the Tc1. I've been driving on it for about 3 weeks now and am happy with it. I can't wait for it to settle. It looks good already.

I ran the stock tires on the stock wheels. The new tires was a last minute decision when I went to install the wheels.

hey guys, Ive been reading through the thread and Im still a little confused. Is there a final solution to this other than the padding eibach sent? Im considering going with sportlines but I want to be sure that the rubbing issue has been properly addressed at this point.

Thanks!

I don't think it has been addressed. Just got mine installed and they creak over little bumps in the road. Or cobblestones. Love the ride and height. Just a but noisy.

I also called them about ordering the isolators and they said my distributor
Has to order them and I can buy them.

That's whack, considering that was an error on their part. I'm glad I went with Tein S-Techs. Any concerns I had were addressed by an actual Tein tech by phone.

so where'd u guys order them from? jw cuz i found these two prices so far:

http://autoplicity.com/products/2266...gn=GSNOFITMENT

http://www.wickedcarparts.com/scion-...tline-springs/

the second vendor (wicked) doesn't have any seller reviews on google so i was kinda skeptical.

called eibach earlier today about the sound issue. they said they'd be willing to ship out rubber isolators for free if anyone was having issues with noise.

Ended up ordering the sportlines off of 'autoanything.com' and they had a 15% off + free shipping promotion running today so ended up getting em for $190 shipped.

Quick question: for the rubber isolators, is there a slit in them so they can be put in place after the springs have been installed?

sigh. fail. my shipment date got pushed back to august so i cancelled the order. now I'm debating whether to go Tein, Eibach, or Tanabe.

Don't think anyone on this forums on tanabe springs. The drop is slightly less than the Eibachs which I consider nice, but the specs are practically the same as OEM which worries me considering that spring rates should go up as you go lower.. Oh the dilemma.

Alright, finally installed my sportlines over the weekend. Not sure if it'll settle more but I'm can fit about 1 finger on the front gap and 2 in the rear. The ride isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's fairly smooth but still a little bouncy at times which would be expected from the 'mismatched' strut/spring combo. Mine arrived installed with 3 noise isolators on each of the front springs so I have not had any issues with it making popping noises of any sort, but we'll have to wait and see how it holds out. I will not be getting an alignment yet because the tires I'm on were cheap and crappy and lost tread pretty quickly from a few track events and autocrossing.
