TRD for 2015 tC?
Has anyone who has the 2015 installed any lowering springs yet??
Does anyone know if the 2014 tC TRD lowering springs would work on
the 2015 model?
From my understanding, the dampening was changed but I'm not sure about the spring rate or anything else.
BTW the Engine Control Management Unit has been updated with a map that does not need any modification until aftermarket Intake, Exhaust, and Headers have been installed (SAYS MY Car Dealership)
In which case go with Unchipped PnP system if they offer a 2015 product

As far as I can tell nothing mechanical was changed for 2015, the springs should fit. The 2015 TC got standard paddle shifters (for the auto) and some minor interior changes along with 2 new exterior colours.
The FRS did get some suspension changes so maybe that is what you are thinking of.
As for the ECU... I don't see them changing that much there either, no maps should need to be touched until you start modifications. The ECU changes the fuel mapping automatically over time to allow for changes in environment, such as altitude and whatever else. unless the changed cams, timing or base maps, I don't think anything has changed. Fuel economy and power figures are the same as last year and when they do physical changes to the engine they usually change the engine code. So the next gen of our engine for example would be 3ar-fe if they decided to change something physically.

I've noticed quite a few changes underneath of my car compaired to 2011-2013 cars, some of the braces are bigger and the rear sway bar links are different. Also the way the front sway bar is held on is different in that instead of 2 small braces holding it on there is one large brace that runs the entire length of the front sub frame.
None of these things effect the available parts, only minor differences in installation. but stiffer chassis

I just got the 2015 and am planning to have the TRD's installed. I was looking into buying the 2014 springs off ebay, they would save me $150 vs. buying new from dealership! The only thing is the dealership install quote will be $8-900, but I've been reading on this forum that people have found cheaper places to do it.
The only thing is that I'm paranoid... if something bad were to happen because of the springs, damages won't be covered by warranty (unless you did install thru dealership)

For the TRD Lowering Springs for the 2011-2015 Scion TC and Other models. Here is a Scion Dealer Website located back east that have the TRD Springs for 192.50 + Tax. They also have other parts and Accessories for Scions.
