Well I'll be going out of town for the next month. I should have them on right after thanksgiving. And most likely I'll be going with the 8.75 and a 225/40 tire. And roll the fenders.

a little help please.. not too good with wheel fitment / anything tire related.
looking at Enkei GTC-01 rims. 18x9.5. i'm currently on s-techs. curious as to how much offset I can achieve without having too serious of rubbing issues (little to none)

so yours will just stick out 5mm more. don't see that being an issue and don't think you'll rub except maybe at full turn in a parking lot or something

It means to run a tire with a tread width significantly smaller than the rim width. The only pros to it are fender clearance, that is it. The bad side is you are deforming the tire. Check out the 1st Gen. Tc wheel and tire threads, tons of pics of stretched tires.

I got my tires from Tires Plus. Firestone Wide Oval 245/40/18's. They broke down my stock wheels/tires and removed TPMS and reinstalled stockers with valve stems I already had. Then installed my TPMS with my new tires and wheels. 499 out the door with road hazard. I get a 10% discount though. I love the Firestone tires, they cured the twitchy feeling that the stockers produce. TONS of grip, ultra stable even in the rain, the downside is no mileage warranty. I get a slight scrub when hitting a large bump while turning. I have found no scrub marks though. They are a W speed rating tire, so I might get 25k out of them. 245/40/18 is the closest in rolling diameter to stock. 235/40/18 is roughly 1/2" smaller diameter. No biggy, just letting you know your gearing will change. With that wheel offset and width you have, you will need to roll the fenders anyways for wider tires. Basing this on my S-Tech drop.
