Green wheels?
#21
Just got 4 cans of plasti dip tonight. Shooting for Friday to complete. I was gonna just leave it flat black... but the color scheme for my car is black and green. tC is black... just not sure if I would want green rims.
I think the hardest thing right now is matching all the accent parts in color. For instance, I keep planning to buy some lime green suede for interior inserts. I really want the greens to match inside and out, so kind of waiting for paints since I can only kind one distributor that has lime green suede...

I'm going to be plasti dipping my rims and painting my brake calipers tomorrow. For those that have done it already any tips for those about to do it? Places you may have missed, things that might have made the process easier?
I tried it out on my spare tire tonight and it seemed pretty easy and straight forward we'll see how it looks in the morning before I start but the spare tire is a lot different from the stock rims and being black to begin with makes it a little difficult for me to see places I missed with the black plasti dip. Thanks!

painted 2/4 wheels today. since I only have 2 jack stands took me about 5 hours to do it with all the waiting time between 3 coats of plasti-dip, 3 coats of paint, and 2 coats of clearcoat.
I think the lighting in the room made the color look a little faded but it's green alright

Yea.. I realized that painting in the dark is not the best idea.. Can't tell which parts I got or didn't. This was my first attempt and maybe the other side will come out better. Looks fine in sunlight and can't really tell where I missed.
I'll have a pic of it on the car later today.

pics of it on the car:
I'll probably have more pics from the meet I went to today. Btw there's a lot of wheel gap in that picture because that was right after I took it off the jack-stands. It looks better in person as it's much more bold than the faded look in the pics.

Yea, I am thinking of just doing yellow pin-strip around the outside, and perhaps painting the inside darker grey. Glad you went to the meet. Awaiting more pics of the car, and the car rolling...
