This shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to do. Just post your section width and measure the clearance to the drag link…I’ll run the number for you if you can’t.

My diagram is labeled wrong, the piece labeled frame is actually the drag link.My bad. As for the section width of my current tire, 10.657 inches. The small rim protector is the widest section of the tire, sticking out 1.5-2mm on each side. So it seems like I would only gain a very small amount of width near the lip and even out the top, making the side wall vertical instead of stretched.

Also found a bunch of photos online showing a 275/35/18's on 9.5 in wheels
looks like a nice fit to me

The tire only “flexes” at the road…everywhere else it just rides along. The clearance is for suspension and chassis flex…also for tire growth at speeds and expansion for hot air temperatures and over inflation.

so with these numbers ...you think this will work?

Section width - 10.657 inches
Drag link clearance - 16mm (.63 inches)

Yes - but I want to see the micrometer you used to measure rubber to 3 figure accuracy... It’s like a crowd control helicopter is flying overhead and the news reporter in the helicopter says, it looks like there is 14,362 people down there…

Lol

I measured the wheels lip to lip when I first got them , 10.5 inches. Then I measured the overhang on the lip protector with my digital calipers, 4mm

10.657 inches

gotta be precise!

That looks sweet! Now we know for sure. That is a much better looking "proper" fitment...What's the new tires weight? Do they feel heavier?

Thanks! Definitely the "proper" fitment I was looking for. New tire weight is 27.3 lbs, old tire weight was 21.6 lbs. So I ended up bolting on 5.7 lbs per corner. You can feel the weight, not really a big deal though.

Stock wheel and tire comes in at 52 lbs, my new set up is 48.3 lbs. So I am under the stock weight by 3.7 lbs per corner. It's kinda crazy how much larger my set up is from stock, and its 14.8 lbs lighter overall! I can live with that.

They fit in the back of the car nicely
