What size rims can I buy?

What size rims can I buy?
I have a black 2011 Scion TC and I have been wanting to buy black rims for it. I plasti dipped them not too long ago and love the look of the black on black. Is it stupid to go and buy rims if I plasti dipped them already? I just wanted something more professional. I also will probably sell my car in a few years or so and upgrade to something else, if I bought rims could I use them on another car? I understand that I may have to purchase different tires, but would everything else be okay?
My main question is, what size/kind of rim can i purchase without buying different tires or changing anything else physically to my car. I only want to replace the rim, nothing else. Where can I find a nice, not crazy expensive black matte rim?
Thank you so much for any help and advice

Well you want to get wheels that have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and 60mm hub bore. If the wheels have a larger hub bore then you'll need a hub-centric ring to ensure a proper (and safe) fit.
You could be pretty safe with up to 19" wheels, although we have a member or two on here that have 20s. But if you're looking to use your current OE tires, you'll need to stick with an 18" wheel...you could go as wide as 9.5" and the stock tires will still stretch to fit.
Your question regarding if you can use your new wheels on a new car would depend entirely on the new car's bolt pattern. If the bolt pattern is the same as our car (5x114.3) then you'll be fine. If the bolt pattern on your new car is different, it would be possible to use wheel adapters to make them compatible (although I wouldn't recommend it).
