Carbon Fiber Hood Reviews - No Salesmen Please!
i'm trying to find a carbon fiber hood for my xa but every thread seems to be filled with venders saying how great their product is. it's not that i doubt they have good quality stuff, but i want to know what the people shelling out their money think. are there any problems with fitment, did the hood yellow 2 months after you got it, does it come pre drilled for the washer nozzles, is it great, does it suck, how much did you pay, where did you get it, anything that might be relevant for those of us in the market would be greatly appreciated.
and i found a vented one i thought looked pretty cool. what do you guys think? thanks.

I've seen some poorly fitting carbon fiber hoods. That is why I'm wary about buying a hood. I hear mix reviews among the big California-based companies' hoods, too... It's really hard to say. Sorry bud!

I installed a cf hood on my sister in laws xA.. it was from Motorfx.. its a good peice man, it fit REALLY good, i took a dremel and cut out the little holes and stuff but other then that it looks great on her car, shes got a IIP, it been like 4-5 months and it still looks new, so i would look in to them

i guess you could post up some pics or whatever for those of us that don't know. maybe some testimonials? i just want a good hood and everyone's is the best supposedly so i'm looking for an unbiased opinion.

I have the CF hood w/ scoop from VIS RACING for my xB. I likes, and yes they have the OEM CF hood for xA. Hope this helps.

ok. that hood is not for the xa. it looks like it but i was wrong and i searched incorrectly.
i ended up going with a vis oem hood. i know the fit and finish will be as good as possible (hopefully). i'll let you guys know how it turned out. i got it from a local shop for $575.00 shipped which is more expensive than i could have gotten it online but at least if i have any issues i can just take a 15 minute drive and let them sort it out. i should have it by next wednesday and i'll take some pics and post em up once i have everything done. peace.

i'll be after a splitter myself sometime with carnards. they make things look really nice at shows since they supposedly don't do anything at lower speeds. whatever my xa is my daily driver and going to be used for some show i just need to make a list like i was doing with my old car.
