Default Headlights: Out||Highbeams: Fine||Highbeam dash icon: Out...

A little background: stock 2004 Xa, with about 115000 miles (I've only had to replace one rear wheel bearing.)

So both headlights stopped working simultaneously. The highbeams work fine, but when they are on the little blue highbeam icon does NOT come on. Before I go pulling all my fuses (because no fuse is for just the headlights and not the highbeams, I thought I'd ask all the experts. Any help is appreciated, I'll be checking it out more today.

Thanks for all the help! (sarcastic) Funny thing ended up being the problem... Both headlights were burned out. They were silverstars, which are supposed to last a long time, and I only put them in maybe 3 months ago. Pretty strange that they both burned out at the same time. Anyway, News to the world: If both headlights go out and you turn on your highbeams the little blue highbeam icon does not come on. I think you might get away with being pulled over in that case... not sure though. Hopefully this will help someone.

Thanks, I had an uncle who had a suzuki swift where the same thing happen eary on. He went to the dealer and turned out it was both head lights were out. They replaced it underwarranty, but normally that is not covered. These were plain old lights.

As a side note, looks like the ground for the head lights is the 10mm bolt behind the ac reciever on the passenger side shock tower.

Just think, this could of been a great excuse to upgrade to hid.

I was so close to making that upgrade. Anytime something breaks is a good excuse to make something better. Even with Silverstars people flash me all the time... but that could be because I drive like an a$$hole.

I havent been flashed and drive like an old lady. I love my silverstars at night in the rural parts of VA like Surry county. Man, I can see reflective signs .6 of a mile away. ANything reflective lights up. I just wish I can get them in an h11 bulb for my oem fogs.
