Default HID installed on Xa!!

Pulled 2 Hella HID ballasts off my previous car and purchased some hong kong 5000k H4 HID bulbs + some spicing of wires, this is the final product! The HID capsule has a glare shield and this is the beam pattern I got!! our stock Xa headlight housings are surprisingly good with aftermarket HIDs!! Check it out!

pull the car back about 20 ft and then let me see the beam pattern ... you are too close to the garage to see any potential glare problems

even as close as you are .. you can clearly see glare above the cutoff

that = problem for other drivers

the 2 spots that looks like glare on the top is actually from my parking lights, I replaced the 2 standard 194 wedge bulb to 2 16 watts Halogen wedge bulbs in their place.

How does the glare shield look?? Is it something long that goes the length of the bulb, or is it just a "sticker" that covers some of the bulb in the middle area?

I just got some myself and I dont' believe that they shipped me the correct one. I think I need this long shield that goes the length of the bulb.

its just a high temp. sticker thats rapped all the way around at the base of the bulb, basically covering only the part of the bulbs that you can see through your headlight housing.

You can try Ebay! i've seen some as low as $285 but they're like 8000k. I think you want somehting from 4300k~5500k or to get the most output. The higher the kelvin the more the color but less lumens. As for the HIDs for our H4s I wouldd like to also point out that you will lose the high beam function since HID burners only has one burner while H4 bulbs have dual filament (High/Low beam)

wow. those are some steep prices! I went on ebay and found H4 bulbs for a fraction of a fraction (of a fraction) of that cost. I'm sure they aren't as good, well I hope for your sake they aren't, but they look pretty good to me. I forget how many k's they are but I know they are around 7 or 8000.
