I just got a memo from Scion today announcing a mid-year price increase on the Scion xA. Effective on all cars arriving 1/30/06, the price of the xA is going up by $50.

 

are they adding a $50 accessory?

 

It's a $50 "wallet-lightening" device. I hear by removing $50 from your wallet it decreases your risk for future back pain.

Nope. This is actually fairly normal for Toyota. They usually have a mid-year price increase on all models. That way, when the next model year comes out, they don't have to increase it as much at that point. It spreads the pain out over a longer period.
