it's not supposed to inspire you the same way as an M3 or STI. This is a completely different vehicle. These cars (Scions) are made to get great MPG and have enough pep to not get run over merging onto the fwy.

I think the Matrix has pretty much been the xA replacement from Toyota at this point. They're almost advertising it as such if you go look at the 2009 website for it. They even offer it in AWD.
But for the price, you would be nuts not to just buy a Mazdaspeed3. They need to get the price down 7 grand.
It would be nice to have the Yaris 5 door turbo over in the USA, though. I'd like to stay driving a micro hatch.

the Canadian echo RS models have the same scion seats in them the ce /le models have a cheaper seat
its the same as an xa mechanically
+ Americans can import echos / Yaris from canada to the USA

I'll keep that in mind if I ever want to import a 4dr Yaris here, however considering we have stringent CA. emissions .... doubtful if getting one from CDN would have all the emission equipment on it.
