Default Brake wear at 13k?

I hear my right front brake starting to squeal indicating wear. I dont' think I've ever had a car wear a pad that fast. My car is a 2005, and you can be sure I'll be demanding some warranty. Anyone else having brake problems so early?

it's totally possible, as my front brakes were down by nearly half at my 5k maintenance

I'm at 33k and will be getting new brakes at 35k... surprised to see brakes that worn down so soon.

Yeah no kidding.. defective brakes maybe??

I've really been tossing around the idea of doing a rear disk brake setup... still not sure the pros and how much work would go into it...very tempting though

Other than looking good, I don't think rear discs are worth the trouble...E-brake, proportioning, mounting.....No thanks, I'll stick with my drums.....

Folks that do some sort of competitions, they might bennefit, but us road warriors wouldn't see any great gains, IMO

Default back from the dealer...

They supposedly lubed some parts in the front caliper, I drove away and still had squeaking. Went back to the dealer, this time they replaced front pads and turned the rotors. They also adjusted and cleaned up the rear drums.

Sounds good so far. This was all covered under warranty, so I'm happy at the moment.
