2.5-3 months? I was quoted two months on my car and they're going to have it for me on monday.

I went to the dealership to try an auto today and they had a black one-- i liked it, and thought about buying it, but just for yucks asked how long it would take to get a white one.

He tapped away on his computer and said "there's a dealer with a white one that needs this black one. Monday okay?"

Sure, monday's ok! By the time the papers were signed the black one was tagged as sold to be traded and the trade was confirmed...so it should be here monday afternoon!

So is your wait a dealership issue? I kept being told six weeks and then it came down to it and it took three days. They just happened to get the right car and the allocations just came in, so there was a big pool of available vehicles to draw from.

 

Thats cool for you, but I want some very specific options, FM, manual, with the spoiler*, and with side impact airbags.
The one dealership that I really talked to, said it would have to be ordered with that set of options. Hopefully it will be less time than that. Too bad I can't even order it for at least two weeks, after I get my tax return.

*does anyone have 2 pics of xA's one with and one without a spoiler, I have never seen them side by side.

 

hmm. are you sure you can't just try to get a locate on a FM manual w/ side air? the spoiler was offered to me as a dealer installed option today, so the car doesn't have to COME with it on persay...

granted, while the pool of FM manuals with side air won't be huge, it should be possible to get one of them in less than three months. In so cal, there should be plenty of dealerships from which they can try to do a trade.

Might want to try talking with another dealer. I was told two months on a plain one, no accessories, and I didn't even particularly care if it was auto or manual. The next dealership told me two weeks, tops.

you could call around, anyway. couldn't hurt. someone might have one sitting on their lot waiting for you!

 

Yeah, that's not the dealership I am going to. also with the spoiler, I don't know yet, thats why I want the pics (see above)

 

i'll gladly take pics of mine with no spoiler for you...it'll be a couple days but i'm sure someone can contribute pics with the spoiler before then

I can def. get one that's closer than that when I go to pick up my car. I can take a pic of just the hatch if you really want. I gotta take pics anyway, so I'll gladly snap some of the spoiler area for ya.

I can see if they have a FM i can take pics of. They might not but I can always ask.
