Does EVERYBODY modify their xA?

Does EVERYBODY modify their xA?
I don't think I'd modify it, for various reasons ($$, for one - isn't that the point of this car, that it's affordable?). Everyone says the xA is great after you lower it and get new wheels, etc. How many of you like it just the way it is (and are you M/F and how old)?

i like that the xa is "affordable" and im modifying my xa.
when you buy something that's affordable, it means you have more money left to spend on other things. the other things im spending my money on is parts for my xa. it makes sense to me.
i'm just throwing in some ideas.

M/40ish The xA is a cool car as it is. But it needs a little more tweaking to make it stand out from the pack. Like hnefrdo said, it's affordable allowing you to buy some extra goodies to personalize your xA. It'a matter of taste and the car stands on it's own merits too without customization. I just hate hubcaps!

M/23...hnefrdo was right. I was pondering a WRX or a Mini Cooper S w/ Works kit, but i went with my xA and dumped close to 10K now to mod it. Its way more fun to start with a slow car and end up with a decent speed sexy car than buy a fast stock car. IMO the stock xA was a great car that i bought and would have kept it stock but i wanted to learn about cars so i started swapping out parts

F/25.... I like my xa the way it is and have no real interest in modifying it but love to look at the ones that people have put real time into. I love having a car that stands out on it's own. It's a versatile car with many options for people to choose from.

I'm stuck on the fence on this one. On the one hand, I want to mod my xA (more then it is right now); on the other hand, I don't want to 'repeat' the same mods I did/are doing to my xB.
So I'm not so sure...

I dont currently own a xA, I was really close to getting one, but the local dealership didnt have ANYTHING i wanted in stock at ALL. I was without a car at the time, so I couldnt wait the 45 days to get one from the factory. Woulda been nice, but... I needed something sooner.
When/If I pick one up, I fully intend to mod it hardcore. The scions are nice cars in their stock form. They can easily go from "mild to wild" (I dont really like that phrase, but it was fitting). The onlything that keeps me from the xA is the power.
oh, im 20, and male.

of course...
its one of those cars that just craves a nice set of rims with a 1.5-2" drop...
My girlfriend just got her's... The day we bought it, I picked out a set of rims for her and some Tein S-Tech's and called it a day...
Dont think I am going to anything else to it except maybe an Intake for a little more pull...
Dont need 2 loud cars...

I was in that boat for awhile. . . but once I saw an xA lowered, I knew I had to get mine done as well. . . and I went pretty conservative with my spring choice. IMO, the car looks weird, stock, as it is sooo high off the ground.
The xA is a great car to mod. . . but I can understand why you wouldn't want to. But man, springs make such a huge difference, in terms of handling and looks. The best mod I've done, bang/buck. There's so much enjoyment out of it.

i love my xa the way it came stock. good handeling, nice features out the boc, and affordable. but the reason i and probally a lot of other people mod their xa or any vehicle for that matter is just a matter of projecting a bit of yourself into your car. i mean i have an xa, tom has an xa, whoever has an xa but that little something xtra (mod) helps impart a sense of this is "my" xa. if that makes any sense

Haha. Sounds like the advertisements...
Anyway, even if you dont do extensive mods, lowering would be worthwhile. Improve your handling (somewhat) and improve the overall look. Im w.djct_watt, it looks strange when its at stock height.

M/35. . .I was initially considering an RX8, but for the money I wanted to spend, I would have gotten a flat out base model. So I bought an xA, tricked it (about $25G's so far) and instead of a base model (granted, alot faster) car, I got a car that turns heads and is hella fun to drive and still ended up with some greenbacks in my pocket. Oh yeah, insurance and gas mileage played into the decision as well.
