Default info on xA Release Series version 2.0

I'm reluctant to post this info because we aren't even selling Scions yet here in Detroit, but i have confirmed information of the following:

xA RS v.20 will have:

Red Paintjob
Red Spoiler
Ken Style Grille
Red Interior LED, cupholder
Sunroof

LIMITED TO 1500 !!!!

Thats the word ....

Let's see how long this lasts....let me know if anyone is getting orders for these in lights of this new info. Just curious..

give me a call if you have any other questions: 248-519-9645

kenstyle grill...sunroof...spoiler...____ers.

I'd get the kenstyle grill and sunroof...but I wouldn't buy the car for the red color...

Default REALLY??

Been dreaming about getting this car since my girlfriend's best friend got an ist in Japan. I drove it, and fell in love with it. Her brother works for Autobachs and of course the ride was hooked up VIP. Then I go back to Cali (I grew up in Inglewood, by LAX) and see one of my homies rollin an xB...

Im stuck here in STL though, and no one here has seen an xA, xB. But the toyota dealer has 2 demos down the street and after I test drove em both, I like the xA because of handling. I think it would make a sweet car to trick out and judging by what I saw back home in cali, and even down in the ATL (2nd home) it would be rare to see a hooked up xA when they do drop here in Nellyville. But now I guess I should wait for the RED one!

BTW Im a long time lurker, but in value you guys' input. keep them Scions rollin!

A special edition xA would be pretty cool but I want to custom paint my bright blue anyways and silver just seems kinda cool for now. Not enough on it from what I've heard to convince me to get a red car or wait longer than I already have.

Hey Hugh, any guesses on when it may be available? I was in your shop about a month back and test drove your xA. I'll be getting one in about 1-2 months, but if the RS is coming out relatively soon (sometime this summer) i'll hold off and get that!

Todd,

You should give me a call in regards to the release series. If it's anything like the first one the car will be sold out nearly by the time of its release. In the meantime i will get in touch with corporate and find out when i can start taking orders for these. If you need some supplement in the meantime i can send you pictures of the grille style and what not.

Peace,

Hugh

how much more is it?

is the interior appolstry going to change?

How do you place a reserve for the vehicle (my dealership probably won't even know what I'm talking about).

I'm interested, but the whole red thing turns me off.

Any word if this RS comes with side airbags ?

Me too. Not for the red, mostly, but a sunroof on that car would probably seal the deal.

Unless it has a better engine or something it doesn't seem like anything to care that much about. If they started making performance models with 1ZZs or something than that would be cool, but just colors and stupid options don't make me want to go out and buy one.

Also, traction control will be standard on the RS2. Scion does have plans for a Release Series tC, but that's all I've heard so far on it. Oddly, TRD tires/wheels have been left out of the package, although I guess it was the same with the lava. I'll keep nagging our inventory guy for more info.

Not much more to add, so I figured that I would just post the press release from Toyota. This should clear everything up. Oh, and production is limited to 1550 for the entire country.

Toyota Motor Sales, USA is pleased to announce pricing for the Scion xA
Release Series 1.0. Pricing will be made available to the public on July
20th.

xA Release Series 1.0
The xA Release Series 1.0 is the second in a series of limited edition
vehicles for Scion and will offer several unique interior and exterior
enhancements. This distinctive package will attract image conscious buyers
to xA while providing continued support for xA sales momentum.

All xA Release Series 1.0 vehicles have a bright new body color, Super Red,
plus a sports grille and color keyed rear spoiler. A power tilt and slide
moonroof, plus vehicle stability control with traction control also enhance
the xA Release Series' sporty styling and "fun to drive" image.

Interior enhancements are designed to complement the Super Red exterior
color. The xA will be further distinguished with a subtle, black seat
fabric with red highlights, along with red lighting in the center storage
compartment. Finally, individually numbered xA Release Series badging will
be applied to the interior of each Release Series car.

Only 1,550 units of the xA Release Series 1.0 will be available, and will
begin arriving at Scion dealerships in late August. The xA Release Series
1.0 package will carry an MSRP of $1,395.

I can ask questions to the region if anyone has them. LATER

Wow. I didn't think they'd be arriving so soon. Only more than a month away...
I expect the seats will be just like the R.S. 1.0's orange-highlighted seats......in red they're gonna look hot.
Looking forward to seeing the final product on Scion's website soon.

Who needs a radio? Like the AC Cobra, who needs a radio when you have the sound of a beautiful engine?
