Default Got Hit On The Drivers Side

My xA was smashed tonight. I was hit on the drivers side. Both doors are smashed in. I can still open the drivers door and lock it, which is good. It still drives as well. All the damage was done to the driver's side of the car. I have full coverage insurance, so I will only have to pay $500.00 of the $3,000.00 or so worth of damage. The thing is, I just got this car two weeks ago. I am so eh right now, I can't think.

OMG. What a nightmare. make sure you take it to a reputable shop and don't accept the repairs until there's no wind noise.

Sorry to hear that, bro.

Get this. Kentucky is a "Not At Fault State" is what the cop said. So nothing happened. I have to call this guys insurance and see whats going on. I have total coverage, so im good for my car. It will get it fixed! Of course. I love my scion. You know what? I just put knew wheels on it saturday morning! The wheels were not damaged, thank god. I will post pics later of the nasty looking doors.. Thanks guys.

if he/she is found 100% at fault, you must call their insurance, and have a shop certified by them do the work. you will pay nothing out of pocket, regardless of your deductible.

i was rear ended a couple of months ago, mind you i have a 1000 dollar deductible. Since they were found 100% at fault, i sued their insurance, and they happily wrote the check.

at least thats how it is here in NYC

^^^ Agreed. If it's their fault on police reports, their insurance pays for everything. If you're lucky enough, their insurance will pay for car rental during the time your car is in the shop! (At least that's how it is in Alabama and with the insurance company I dealt with when my xA got hit!)

Try and get your wheels insured, too! If you're covered and they get ruined during an accident, you can get money for it!

So... umm... if I lived in Kentucky... I could "accidentally" run into someone's car, and it wouldn't be my fault?!

i dont know. dude i went to the body shop today and the guy i know said that he has heard that as well. i am taking it in today to get it stripped. What "a no fault state" is: that both parties must get their car fixed through their own insurance.
