Default Happy new xA owner

Hi everyone! Last month my Toyota Corolla was totaled in an accident. I did research online for a new vehicle and was looking at the Matrix, Yaris or xA. The Matrix was a little out of my range. I test drove the Yaris base model. The way it handled and looked did not appeal to me. Inside the dealership was an xA. It was love at first sight . I decided right then without even test driving it, that the xA was the car for me. About a week later I became the proud owner of an indigo ink pearl xA with manual transmission. I love it! And thanks to everyone for all the info contributed here in the forums. Even though I am not mechanically inclined, they are always a pleasure to read.

Welcome to the Scion family!! You made a good choice and didn't have to dicker to get a good price. You are lucky to find a manual as most seem to be auto right now.

My 06 IIP xA just turned 1 year old. I think I'm happier with this little car than I've ever been with any before it. For the record:

2000 Wrangler Sahara (a close second)
1996 Dodge Dakota
1990 Nissan Pickup
1985 Ford Bronco II
1982 Chevy LUV
1971 Opel GT
1973 Super Beetle
1969 VW Camper Van

Oh, the tC...that's my wife's car

Thanks for the welcome. I haven't driven a manual in 20 years or so. It's nice to come back to. I knew after the corolla, which was an automatic, that it would be preferable to move to a manual. It's very zippy and nimble. I'm quite emamored of my xA. I smile every time I look at it. Sheesh, I've got it bad.
