Default help problem with radio

yes i have a 2005 xa and i was bored the other day , i started reading the radio manual trying to get the SAT button on the radio to work, the satellite radio to work i even call xm radio and they are saying that when you press the SAT button you should see channels well i press the button and nothing happens are all, anybody with knowledge about this suggestion please

Might be a dumb question but did you choose to have Sat radio installed. The stock radio's are Sat ready. you still need the ant and reciever

yeah, you gotta order the hardware to get the satellite receiver and wiring, and then pay a $h!t load of money for installation, and ofcourse, pay of a subscription to it.

ohh whao thanks a lot i tough that this radio had the ability to recieve the signal without any other hardware so now i see it that Sat button is just like a bridge between the stock radio and the extra hardware right???? becuase i have a friend that get satelitle radio on his stock hummer radio so thanks
