Default HI* - Remote entry and Rear Sway Bar

Hey all.

I (we) am brand new to Scion and Toyotas in general. Been a Subaru and RX7 guy forever. My gf needed something practical and so Scion xA is a new adition to our family. It's been almost a month and she absolutely loves the car (and me).

One thing I noticed right off the bat is the desparate need for the rear sway bar. I was curious, what's the typical size for a RSB on daily driver xA?

Also, she's been nagging me for a remote entry. How's the range on a stock system? Should I even bother with it, or go straight to aftermaket?

Thanks a lot, and welcome

just make sure you get the right correct year for the RKE

Thanks. It's my gf's dd, so it's gotta stay high for 'curb' parking
Is that 22 hollow or solid?

I've been reading the forum and I am surprised that xA run a 20 or 22mm RSB, it's a tiny car. My Impreza a lot heavier, and it's very neutral with 20 mm RSB and 19mm in the front.

i want to say they're solid. on the subaru i'm sure its track width and geometry of the vehicle.

do you have any pics of the car? when modded they are more capable then most would expect.

I have a used Hotchkis rear sway bar for sale (this one), and a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs (these; 1-1.5" drop). I have all the original mounting hardware and bump-stops. Make me an offer if you're interested!

Add a set of urthene bushings and you setup was like mines. Id jump all over this if you want your car to be velcroed to the ground and unmessed around with when it comes to any wind or large trucks.

Those bars are stackable for even more stiffness. THe front one makes the car even more firmer and less likely to lean.

With my setup I could make a U turn at 35mph and the rear would drift slightly doing so. I took on and off ramps at highway speeds and some cases had to slow down to merge with traffic.

Oh, that's a good question. I bought it in '06. It's about an inch in diameter, and the ends that bolt to the car are about 1.5" thick. What's a good way to tell?

Wow, you'd pretty much drag the ground if you put more than two on!

edit: Oh you mean front+rear. Sorry, that gave me a ridiculous mental image.
