IT'S A FESTIVUS MIRACLE!

Today the dealer called and said that a pre-ordered deal fell through on a BSP XA w/ side bags in a neighboring state and they will bring it up here for me as soon as it comes in- in less than two weeks!!! So I will wait about 12 weeks total, but I am at the end of the day I am getting the car I want.

What, YEAH!

 

3 WEEKS!!! They said early January, but called on Friday and found the one we wanted and we just picked it up today!

2006 xA SRP

 

I just got a call from the dealer today and my car is at the lot. It took 9 weeks. I go pick it up this weekend.

 

 

1 week.

Caught one coming into port not claimed..

 

Woooooo. Picked up my egg on saturday. This little thing is fun to drive!!!

 

Well, I went to Smithtown Scion (Long Island) with the original intention of trading in my 2000 VW Jetta for a brand new tC. I was told that it would be coming into port on the 16th or 17th and that I could take delivery at the end of December. CHANGE of circumstances has forced me to get an xA instead, and I was told the same thing for the xA, coming to port on the 16th or 17th, and that I could have it by the end of December.
Well, I am all set to take delivery tomorrow on my 2006 Black Sand Pearl xA (automatic) w/ iPod upgrade, LED illumination, and boomerang armrest. I am picking up the car in the evening once I return to LI from Connecticut. I can't wait.
All in all I suppose it was not too long to wait compared to some of the wait times that I see other people have had to endure. But, hey all good things come to those who wait...and at least everyone knows they are getting a quality car.

got my 06 xA in 7/8 weeks, ordered january 14, got to dealer march 4th, picked up on march 11, 2006.
got side curtain air bags, dealer guy told me they had to order straight from japan.

 

On a Saturday, we test-drove a silver auto w/ side airbags before we were committed to buying a Scion xa. Called on Thurs. to see what colors/combos were scheduled for the next few weeks. They said they had an IIP & Salsa Red currently on the lot, both with AT/no side airbags. IIP was our first choice, so we ran the financing over the phone that night, with cruise to be installed Friday, and pickup Saturday.

Turns out they couldn't schedule the cruise install before Sat, so we had that done the following Friday. Unlike Ecoblue, I was given an '06 Camry with less than 4000 miles for a loaner. :D

 

1.5 weeks of waiting, I told them that I knew where a PW xA was located, and was willling to drive to get it. They told me they would have one within a week for me. That they did, and the additional half week was spent waiting for the cruise and keyless to be put in.

 

Got mine in one week~ cleaned, detailed, and delivered :D

 

I waited 8 weeks for my IIP auto xA with side air bags. At one point we were told it would take 10 to 12 weeks (!). Fortunately another customer at our dealer cancelled an identical order, and we got his car instead.

 

I waited two weeks for my Flint Mica xA w/ side airbags. Actually... I pick it up tomorrow.

2 weeks PW 06 xA auto / side airbags in IA was located in stock on a lot in Chicago, and ferried over.

 

shoot, i just went to the dealership and bought it on the spot... i can't imagine having to wait... but i guess if you want an exact color and style, it's well worth it, eh?

 

i waited about 7 weeks for my car ... the last week of which my sales lady was on vacation and it sat there till she called me upon her return.
