Every xA I see pictures of on here has 17" wheels on it. I don't want 17's, I want 15's, but I want to see what some of you have done with your 15's.

I like the look with the 15s. I plan on getting Team Dynamics 15" wheels (Motorsport)--where did you get them?

Do they need tuner lugs or will the stock ones work? How is the quality of the flat black finish? I have seen other black wheels that chip easily--it looks like crap when that happens.

And do you have any rubbing of the wheels or tires? Is that a 1.5" drop?

(sorry about all the questions--I haven't seen any Scions with Team Dynamics wheels before )

I got them from a Miata shop in California. They dropship for TDR...

The stock steelies use tapered (tuner) lugs. I used them to test fit the rims, but I have a set of black McGard SplineDrive lugs/locks. The stock lug nuts will work, but I recommend getting a better/more secure setup. The stock lug nuts will give little to no room for your socket wrench...You'd risk scratching something.

One thing the guy at the Miata shop told me was that the British don't know how to paint. The spokes and lip are painted fine. The inside of the "barrel" could use more paint, though. Not a big deal to me...Once I give my sister this car, I'll probably have the wheels painted a pearlescent pink (a la Yashio Factory).

The place I got the wheels/tires mounted scratched two rims (inner barrel/center bore). Again, after months of researching and waiting, I was numb to it. They are my daily-driver/racing wheels. I don't care. I haven't seen any chips or anything of the sort...but I did notice a dirt pattern because of the spoke design.

Oh yeah, my wheels are hubcentric. :D No need for rings or anything like that. They are a perfect fit.

I have no rubbing issues, as far as I know...I am on Eibach Pro Kit springs. They are said to be 1.5", but they are more like 1.75"ish. My driver side sits lower than my passenger side, too...

No problem. I spent months looking for the "right" rims. From Rota to Gramlights...I ended up with TDRs because they are cost efficient, lightweight, and unique...

Here are a couple of newer pics of my egg. The wheels are 15" Konig Next in a Bronze finish. Tires are the stock Bridgestone Poteza RE92 185/60/15.

Here are two of my newly aquired wheels, 15x6.5 Flik Bullet-Anthracite. 12.5Lbs a piece! Stock tires, and TRD springs.

Well, I broke down and got 15's. What do you all think? Just curious. The only things I have done to the car is 35/20 window tint and the wheels.

I like your wheels. I would suggest lowering it (I know, everyone says that), but you will notice a pretty decent performance increase over stock. I put the TRD springs on my car many months ago, and really liked the performance increase. But after putting the stock tires even on these new wheels (1 inch wider wheel and alloy wheels don't flex like steel does), I saw a very significant change. The car is much flatter in corners now, and doesn't seem to get upset in corners as much as it used to.

I got a 2k6 silver xA too, thinking about dropping it...will my Scion dealer (Bernardi up here in Mass) sell me the TRD springs and put em in?

yeah, they will sell them to you and put them in, but most likely they are going to charge you an arm and a leg to do it. My dealership down here wanted $133.00 to put them in (which could be a lot worse), but like $250 for the springs themself. You can get them from ebay or TRDsparks.com for a lot less. You can put them in yourself, I hear it's pretty easy, but if you are like me I would rather pay a little more money and know that the warranty covers any problems.

Sorry, but 15s look too small on the xA. I would go 16s w/50 or 17s w/45-profile tires if you dont want a harsh ride.

Default 15's are straight

These are Muegen immitations made by Rota which only come in 15's....i wanted to preserve as much to its original specs as possible. I have a set of hotchkis springs installed which only lowers it about 1 1\2 inches....so my car still pretty much has maintained that comfort ride and with 15" wheels i don't have to worry about lost gas mileage or anything due to bigger rims....i also have the sway bars that come with the hotchkis kit and i've put off buying better shocks until my stock ones need to be replaced.
