I would double check the O2 sensor and make sure its mounted correctly. If the kit specifies it be mounted in a certain direction make sure its correct. I know with my Perrin intake if the sensor isnt mounted on the bottom it wont work at all. Thats all I can think of...

... Don't buy things from ebay like bomz and it's a REV limiter not a party stopper . Ok, I know that didn't help much but it needed to be said. Now, to correct the problem. Check your MAF sensor that you mounted in the intake. You're checking for any sort of build up or things like that. DO NOT Touch the sensor itself, you'll only make it worse. Chances are you may be buying a new sensor. I'm also curious as to the type of filter you are using, it might be worth your time to invest in a AEM Dryflow filter. You must also be very careful if you were messing with anything electrical, a friend had fried his sensor when an electrical current hit his intake.

had this happen to me about 3 weeks ago, You are in limp mode and your MAF is fried. Install youe OEM airbox back into your car and get towed to the Toyota dealership, its a quick easy and warranty fix. If you take it in with the intake it'll cost you 168 bucks.
BE VERY VERY VERY VERY careful if you cant get towed and have to drive your car. Your car is in limp mode for a reason and will not go above 3000 rpm's for reason as the car should not be driven if at all possible.

But that is the american way nowadays right?^^^ Yeah, this could have been avoided by buying a high quality intake instead of some cheap a$$ed ebay crap. If they cost 300 dollars for a new one, heck there went your AEM cold air intake right there!

Good to hear and I hope it works out for him. If he didn't already buy the AEM one there is a high quality one on ebay that is a dublicate to the Injen short ram for 69 bucks shipped. I have it and love it. It even comes with a high quality round K&N filter.
