you hook it up to a slow battery charger which is better for the battery

Thanks. I am sorry I was unclear. I knew how to jump start.
I was asking how to test if the battery is needed a replacement. And is it normal for the battery to die if left for a couple of weeks unattended, or I have to do something with it in that situation.

take it to a auto parts store to have 'em put a load tester on the battery they'll tell you if its good or bad

If you get it cranked, do like dd suggested, go get it load tested. It sounds like a dead cell. Normally, a good battery will stay hot for at least a month or 2.

Do you have any mods that could cause a drain?

I did a keyless entry and a cruise control. Is there any swich or fuse that can be pulled easily off next time I have to park the car for a long time? Thanks.

I don't see how either of those would cause a drain.

Simple test...park the car as usual(preferably in the shade), pull the pos. terminal on the battery and look to see if there is an arc between the post & the terminal. If there is, you have a circuit drawing juice.

Then, you just have to find what that circuit is.....

same thing to my bro's xA. . .he hadnt used it for a while and it wont start. . .
when we open the door the lights wont even turn on, the beeping noise wont beep when u leave the key in the ignition, and the remote key wont unlock/lock the doors. . .the battery indicator says that its "ok" so we tried jump starting it but no prevail

so maybe its just a dead cell? any other suggestions?

Same thing with our xA, the OEM battery died, so we got a Red Top, The car went to paint and the battery died and could not be saved, So we got another battery, and after a week of not being started, the battery was toast. So I disconnected the underglows and the 12volt converter, now just waiting on our new battery to arrive. I am gonna do the arc test that oldmanatee suggested. I really hope that the electrical is shot.

Thanks for the reply. I think something happened to the car at that time because it would hit me with a joilt each time I walk out of it and touch something like house door. Then a dealer did something to the car while changing the oil and it has not hit me yet since that.
