Here are photos of my wedge with its new shoes. What difference from the stock steelies. They really upgraded the image. The ride seems to be little changed although I still want to upgrade the back shocks to Monroes. Can someone tell me what the difference is between the 5987's and the 5601's? Is anyone running Monroes with DF210 Coils? Thanks, B

How many miles on your egg? It might be time to go all around with the new shocks & struts.

I have 52,200 miles on it. Next will be springs and shocks. I am thinking Prokit or NF210's with Monroes. The back is a little hard with the 17's so the shocks will help. I am still riding on the 40 lbs. they put in them when I got them. I am thinking 35 lbs. in the back would be better. They are yokahama avid H4s. They seem to be a good quality tire and ride quiet and really grip.

I figure since we will never use all that the performance tires have to offer, I go for a tread pattern I like.

I run 40 all the way around on my 17's

Hey dude cool ride. Mine is the exact same color and my rims are Konig Heliums Silver. Anyways my ride is currently using a combo spring setup,
Front KYB GR2's with DF210 springs.
Rear KYB GR2's with TRD springs.

The reason for that is because with the DF210 springs in the rear the KYB shock was basically bottomed out, with the snubbers cut in half. The ride was terrible. From what I understand is that KYB only offers OEM standard length replacements. Double check with Monroe.
I've been chatting with Koni, and they said they could make me a customized set and shorten it up a little bit (2" ??) provided it doesn't create any new problems. If I decide to go with Koni's it will probably be the "yellows". The KYB compression/rebound damping isn't stiff enough for my taste.

The front has a decent ride with the snubber cut in half, but the struts are almost fully compressed. Maybe they should be shortened up a bit also ??

A few folks have mentioned trying the damper setup from an ECHO. Does anyone know exactly how much shorter this set up is ??
