Default Is this normal?...xA

When I engage in first gear lately, I can feel the gearshift(manual) pull back towards me?

Any ideas on what could be the problem?

sounds like linkage or the synchros are going out popping slightly out of gear.

Sounds normal. The engine and trans are on rubber mounts. When you accelerate, the engine/trans moves. This movement is transmitted to the shifter.

There's a TSB on this for the xA/xB shifters. Basically, it says to ensure the clips holding the shifter cables are fully socketed in their sockets. Weird things can happen when they get loose.

Where is this TSB? If TSB's are so important why do all the places I try and access them want money? The ones that archive them for free are usually quite a few months off.

The dealer should have all the TSB's in their database, and you should let you know for free.

Just take the car in. You're under warranty, right? That's what it is for.
