Ok Guys I need some help
Here is the deal. I was rearended in my SRP xA last Thursday Jan 29, 2009. The accident caused my rear bumper cover to have a huge crack in it from the guys front liscense plate holder. His insurance company gave me a check for $574 which I have checked a dealer and pretty much covers a new cover and install. What I would like to know is if you guys think I should maybe go with something aftermarket or just go OEM. I have a guy that replaced my front end after I hit a deer, and he said he would paint the bumper for me for about $150, but no more than $200 if I put it on myself. If you guys think I should go aftermarket, does anyone have some pictures, places to buy, and fitment information for me?

Honestly I don't like aftermarket body pieces without the rest of the kit, it just looks way out of place. But that's just me.
You can look up a few different xA body kits and see if any of them have rear bumpers that look good to you. If you're willing to buy that and have it painted, go for it.

I thought if I was rear ended I would go for the square bumper piece that makes it look kind of like an xb.
As far as for aero and fuel economy, the rear needs to be high and open. The front most needs to be the lowest then the sides.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I think I am just going to go back to the stock bumper. I found a used cover at a local salvage that is in good condition for only $75 so I think I am going to get it and have it painted.

My passenger side skirt looks really chewed up in some spots (hard to see unless you're up close) and I can't find a cheapy at a junkyard.
Some guys have all the luck.

Not bad, may want to consider getting a hitch to beef up the rear end and maybe a swing away bike rack for someone to hit next time and to keep back tailgatters like I had. I got my hitch from curtis hitches and a bike rack from yamkia.
