Default Project: Xe aka Frankenecho Now with better pics!

My car is FINALLY being finished up at JE Import Performance in Baltimore, MD. They are finishing up all the last details of my turbo kit. I have been without a car for a couple of months now and I had forgotten how bad it sucks not to drive, but a few of my setbacks were:
ZPI sent me a "turbo kit"
The car got sideswiped

Despite these setbacks it really has been a learning experience in the automotive aftermarket world as well as a challenge to my creativity.

Also, I wrote a while back about an Xa front end to replace my damaged stock one, and well, its almost ready, parts are prepped and ready to go on, pics to come. Feel free to ask me any questions about this project (i.e. turbo, bodywork, that you want.

Update: 3/21/2008 So having had some fitment issues with the Xa front, off my car goes to Autobody Creations in Rockville, Maryland. Hopefully it will be done in the next few weeks.

UPDATE: 4/10/2008
After getting back from my latest trip, I talked to Auto Body Creations in Rockville, MD about how my car is coming along. The news is: GREAT! The project should be done next week or so. Big props to ABC for pulling this one off, turned out to be more challenging than expected! Pics as soon as I get it back. If you want to see it in person, come to the support the troops meet at Extreme Motorsports in Odenton, MD on April 26th!

UPDATE: 4/23/2008
Here it is, the only Xa sedan you will ever see:

If you want to see it in person, and you are in the Baltimmore/D.C. are , be sure to go to the support the troops meet at Extreme Motorsports in Odenton, MD!

Well, I should be getting the car back from JE Import Performance tomorrow, precluding any unforeseen issues. Pics will come soon! I have to get a hood still! Just a money thing at this point.

A question for the headlights for this conversion:

are the bulb housings the same between the Xa and echo, one of the headlights I have is missing them.

Do you all think it looks better with the grill insert in, or out?

I say always finish a project. and without the grill inserts the job is not done. It will look cheap and unfinished + your condenser will be unprotected.

Well everything is painted and ready for install. I still need a hood. But my Army stuff has me traveling a lot, so I will probably finish it when I get back.

Nice Fabulous bumper, with that grille and bumper it'll look like my buddy's xA.
