Hi, I have a 2005 Scion XA and purchased the original security system part no: 08586-52973-AA off Ebay.

on the box it says for description: 2006 xA RS3200

I was bold enough to buy this "2006" system after seeing somewhere else that that partnumber is the same for a 2005 xA. I would just like someone to confirm this for me that this will work on my 2005 xA.

Also I am looking for the installation manual and I noticed that member Tomas posted a link to his site with manuals, but that one is part number 08586-52970 mine ends with '3' instead of '0' is there a big difference?

So, can I install this system on my 2005 xA and has anyone the installation manual or will the one for 52970 also work?

Hate to tell you this but I don't think it will work. Part numbers are as fallows:

2004-05 xA p/n: "08586-52970" or "08586-52971"

2006 xA p/n: "08586-52973"
Install manual: http://trdsparks.com/install/08586-52973inst.pdf

Model 0 and 1 are just different revisions of the same thing, while model 3 was special for the 06 xA and included a different wiring harness. I bought one for my 06 and the part number was the 3 model so I don't think that will work in your 05.
