Scion xA - Clear Corner/Painted Headlight Tutorial
#41
no problem bro... go for it PG is pretty dark as it is, itll look great against some of the chrome in the headlight housing. if you take a look at mine, we taped off the small chrome ring housing the turn signal just so that we get a "2-level" look, and it came out great. i think if you do the same with PG itll look real nice against your PG exterior paint

Hmmmmmmm, and that is what brand of paint?
That is very close to what I want, thanks!!!
And if it was clear enuff to cast a shadow, it was clear enuff to wash it...I hate to do this, but you will be reported to the proper authorities for xAbuse.

Is anybody else having a problem seeing the pictures for the tutorial? I've gotten as far as removing the little nubs for the bumper but it's stuck. I would love it if maybe the pic's were reposted because I don't know what else to pull on.
Greatly appreciated

Does anyone know where I can buy another pair of lights to work on this besides on ebay? I have done extensive modding to my last vehicle but I don't wanna be in a pinch like I used to be while working on something that was required to use the vehicle. I'll even buy a used pair of lights if anyone has em.

I got some Lexus IS300 clear side markers to replace those, Stormtrooper. They're the same exact size and fit.
Getting the "Lexus" ones will be cheaper than the "Scion" ones on eBay; came out to about $17shipped.
All you gotta do is move back the fender lining, remove the screw holding in the stock markers, and then pop in the new ones.

I'm going to do mine, but I don't want where I remove the orange marker to get paint in there, could I leave the orange piece in, paint the boomerang, and then remove the orange piece or will it still get paint behind it?

I wouldn't trust it to be an airtight seal.....you could use an old model builders tip, seal it with rubber cement. It makes better circles than masking tape and when you get done painting, just peel it off and then take out the amber lens.

It's okay to paint the boomerang with the orange piece in place, just do light coats and don't spray hard straight on into the edges.. Just becareful when removing the orange lense after the boomerang is painted....
