speakers pop at idle. help!
Here's the deal. My car is going to the dealer sometime this week (as soon as they get the part in) to get the idle air control motor replaced. It currently idles around 650 under full load, and it threw a CEL last thursday.
Anyways, I've been noticing a really annoying crackle sound comming from my speakers. It happens only when the car is in DRIVE and I'm stopped. I pulled the hand brake and reved the engine to about 800 rpm's and the crackle went away, but I've been idling low for a while and this crackle noise is just starting to happen.
My scion came with the bazooka tube if that might have anything to do with what's going on.
I'm hoping once the idle air motor is replaced ill have a smoother idle, and the noise will go away.
Anybody know what could be happening here??
Thanks.
