I've seen a few of them here in Mauritius. There is a white one at my hotel, haven't managed to get a good shot of it. If it's still there when I have a day off work, I'll get a few good shots of it.

Those things are all over the place down here. The Corolla looks nothing like the USDM model, the Tacoma looks nothing like the USDM model, I've got a 5-speed diesel Toyota Fortuner for a rental, lol.

I wish we could get the Micra here. they look like little space ships. In the UK, they don't like to do cars normally, they need to complicate things.

That's not France; french people drive on the right side of the road, and I don't believe that the Ist was available there.Toyota isn't very popular in France anyway, not like in the US anyhow.

I'm in Mauritius, said it in the first post .

I was so ____ed, I didn't have my camera out on the drive to work this morning and I saw a Peugeot 206, a Peugeot 406 and a Honda Accord Type-R (Acura TL, but looks MUCH better). Here are a bunch of other cars I've seen down here, including a white ist.

Soo.... Are the people walking dirt poor and the drivers are rich???

Yeah, I understand Japan is full of small Japanise made square cars. Europe is full of American made cars that get 60+ mpg and burn diesel. Many of them long discountined from our market.

Yea...I really wish I lived in Europe just so I could buy a badass subcompact diesel. The day one's available in the states I am so jumping on that. The Jetta TDI is a good start...now if they could only throw that into a Rabbit. Even better, a diesel Scion.
I'm employed by acity where they pride themselves in a "Western" way of life (complete with yearly rodeos, farm/truck shows, an "old town" complete with saloons, and plenty of cowboy hats), I'm one of the only employees in the city hall parking lot not in a big truck/SUV.
