Default Stereo Issue

Hey guys, I need some advice so when I take the XA to the dealer I don't get BS'ed. I have the optional Pioneer in dash 6 CD changer and I've been getting an Error 4 message. I checked the manual and it means that there is excess current flow. Does anyone know what could cause this issue? I'm hoping I won't have to replace the entire unit and also hoping its not the sign of a problem with the electrical system itself. Has anyone else run into this as well?

If I burn playlists or cd's from my computer I get errors once and awhile. I just pop it in and out a few times. Once it works I never have the issue again..It's weird as hell, but doesn't bug me. Never had an issue with a cd that I didn't burn of my itunes music.

Mine only did that a few times only with burnt CDs.
I have switched headunits though shortly after I bought my car.

if you do take it to the dealer and you have to replace it, be prepared to wait, its at least one month for a replacement stereo, thats what scion direclty told me (becasue i did not believe the dealer). What i got was a random ticking sound that was blown speakers, and go figure, the car was only two days old. ohh, and i never cranked it up, still havent for fear of blowing it again for no reason. trust me, see if you can solve it another way

Wait a MONTH...SOmething isnt right.

I work for a dealership(lead tech). We order radios daily..On average it takes 2~7 buisness days to get one in.Unless there is a special issue with a certain unit.

On any error codes ,just take it to the dealer.9 out of 10 time they will just get you a new one coming to save hassles.
