Default TRD short throw shifter for the XA

I was interested in a TRD short throw shifter kit and see one on ebay. The part number listed comes up for an XB. I was wondering if anyone knows if the kit will fit the XB and XA or only the XB. The part number is PT901-33530-15.

Even if you don't win this particular auction, those short shifter kits are on eBay all the time. I've got an off-brand one and it works just fine, much better than stock.

Yes, xA & xB TRD short shift (or "quick shift" as some call it) kit is the same. Several part numbers seem to refer to the same TRD kit. I have also seen 33530-NP100, 00602-33530-150 & PTR04-52041-50.

The TRD short shifter is only a 20% reduction, but the ease of install is what makes it great. If you want a true short shifter get a Perrin adjustable its from 20%-200%, but installation is not easy.

when shifting with a stock shifter and you try to shift from 4-5k rpms on the one two shift and it feels like theres a lock out on second gear

with the trd quick shift it you can get into 2nd with the rpms so high... with better ease

TRD quick shifter is trash just like any other trd product dealers sell for scions. Get a perrin adjustable shifter or TWM shifter. Its harder to install but well worth it. I went through TRD, Perring, Ebay brand and now got TWM and its by far the best.
If you got the skills, just convert the stock shifter into short shifter. Take the shifter rod out of the plastic housing, bake it in the stove for 10 minutes at 300 degrees, carefully move the ball up the shaft, then cool it down.. there you have it

If there's a lock out from first to second at 4-5k rpm then I broke it the first time because I've never had any problem like that

now i didnt say TRD products are trash.. just the ones dealers sell for scions.. they are not true TRD.. most of them are made by OBX.. Even the TRD muffler is not true trd product. Neither is the clutch..
But for the true TRD parts i have mass respect.
