i did mune myself and i already know im going to get flammed hard for saying that and this, but it is the coolest thing when u do it yourself. even if youre eventually going to rip it all off and get it profesionally done later, its one of those things you stand back and go... man i did that all on my own. it gives u kinda a sense of pride. i was going to rip the tint i did all off and let someone else do it, but i love it, even with all the bubbles! when spring time hits I AM redoing it all over til i get it right!

I did 35% on front two windows, 15% for the rears. its nice to have a difference in tint % for the windows as it doesn't look as dark if you did the entire car in the same %. This way if a cop sees you, he sees more of a difference in tints, not just a dark 15% all the way around. I have been pulled over for speeding, and what I do is roll down the front two windows so he nevers sees the tint. Plus, unless you have a auto dim mirror, you need at least 15% tint for night driving on LA hwys.

Check out tint master in Canoga Park 818-992-8853...awesome guys and quick and resonably priced. They did my whole car for $150

The big problem with this idea is he might very well have seen you pass by and already seen the tint. Maybe it's why he stopped you altogether Knowing that "some" LAPD can be well you know I would not insult there intelligence all the time and get your whole car searched for a measly 15% tint and hide.

ya dude tinting your windows on your xa is a must but get it done professionally. I got mine done a few months ago and will post a pic asap but I think it looks great. I went 5% on the back windows and 35% on the front two windows and then moved back to 5% on the windshield. I have a black xa and the black tint makes my car look so much better.

Here in Wisconsin I can do 50% on the front sides and 35% on the rear sides and back.

Default How do tinting laws work while travelling?

I mean, what's legal in one state is not in another, so what happens if you are travelling and in a state where your tinted windows are not legal?

Mine aren't legal, its 35% in Washington, if you get pulled over, roll the windows down before the officer gets to your car then he would feel more secure approaching your car, being able to see in, he may not even mention the tint. Not saying it will work, but its worth the try, the guy who tinted it said that I shouldn't have any trouble, I told him that he would be doing them over if I get a ticket. As for driving thru other states, not sure how that works, car isn't licensed in the state, don't think they could do anything other then harrass you.

i'm tellin ya.. go as dark as you can on the rear.. then 20% on the front windows..
the contrast shows cops your front windows are lighter than they are.. _
