But, the other day I was checking them out after they had been on there a few days....just to make sure they were still secure, and I noticed a big black glob of grease splattered inside the splash guard that would have otherwise ended up all over my pretty white rocker panel. So, yeah, within reason they work quite well.
However, I was more interested in aesthetics....wanting the front rocker panel area to match the back....being the ****-retentive guy that I am.

Just so you know my dealer just installed some fronts and they look great.
They took a chance and ordered some fronts from the microfiche on Scionlife and they fit.
I'll try to get a part number and a picture soon.

Front mud flaps
Those rear/front flaps look good; nice job. I, too, have a white '06 xA, noted during the fall how all the wet leaf crap would spray all over the side of the car. Got the rears at my dealer, but was told Scion did not make 'em for the fronts.
Went to AutoZone and bought a pair of black vinyl ones. The are flat, not contoured, but look OK and do the job of keeping the car's sides cleaner. All for about $9.00 and some time on my knees, drilling the holes and mounting the things.
Simple job, the tricky part being getting both in about the same position so they look balanced to the eye.
