I used 1/4 inche landau foam and cut and shaved the emblem outta the foam. The glued it to the headliner which I also covered in it's entirety with the foam. Then I carefully stretched the material over the whole piece. It is very difficult material to deal with, not at all like tweed, which is what most people use to make it an easier job. Personally I hate the look of tweed so I wanted to go with something unique for her car.

Well, I added a lil more to the headliner theme. Even tho it's not actually part of the headliner, it goes along with that aspect of the car. It's the rear hatch panel behind the back seats. You hardly ever see this part of the car unless the rear seats are folded down or the hatch is open, but it looked like a place that needed a lil spicing up. I did it with the same techique as the headliner and with the same fabric. This is NOT headliner material and does not stretch very easy. Nothing like the way tweed does. It is not very forgiving at all. The owner wanted some flamage in the headliner so this was a way to at least give her a little satisfation in that area. I will try n take some "in car" pix in the next few days. Tommorrow is her birthday so she's been a little hard to get hold of for pix. Anyway, hope you like the idea and I am open to any other ideas for the completion of the headliner area, which is almost finished. I still have a couple side panels to do. I think I am gonna try and do the pull-out rear tray in this fabric also. Lemme know watcha think. Thanx

You're not all that far away so you could have something similar or even better. I am in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. This is just a promotional vehicle I did for my accountant so she could have fun and show off. most of the stuff was her idea. I just made her dreams come thru.

Thanx much. It lines up well with the hood. Ronna loves every time she asks for something and I make it happen. She just got 2 more first place trophies yesterday at a Scion show sponsored by Earl Stewart in West Palm Beach Florida. "Best Paint" and "Best Wild XA". All the props are greatly appreciated.

Actually quite real. She enjoys the attention her car brings her each and every day. Seems she can't go to a store or a drive thru without recieving nice comments on her car. It started as a dream and with a lotta patience on her part has become a reality. It is unfinished though. She still has a lotta futire plans for the XA. And we always are looking for suggestions to work with. I definately think it looks kewl goin down the road. Not a timid lil Scion anymore.
