Guys, my girlfriend of almost 5 years and I are both about to graduate college and will get married at some point. We were both thinking of getting Scions. Thing is that I like xA, and she likes the xB. My cousin told me the other day that we should do the opposite because the xA is more feminine and the xB is more of guys car since it's bigger and has a more edgy appearance.

However, my girlfriend doesn't care about performance and wants something roomy, automatic and something we can do roadtrips in. I however, am into hooking cars up and I love light cars and the xA is lighter then the xB, I also like how the xA's look with body-kits.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

I got the xA for the "pep" & mileage also.
Really liked the xB but it felt sluggish
Never thought of the xA as feminine

nothing wrong with guys driving xA's. It was aimed and marketed for ladies but i see more guys than ladies driving them.

xA xA xA!!!! . I think you should get an xA, in my opinion dont get a box its more comfortable for her the xA seems to be a much better looking car when correctly done. I would definately go for the xA.

I see more guys drive xAs, too. The only xBs in this area are either HIGHLY pimped out or driven by old ladies (literally).

I'd say just go with what you guys like. xA for you, xB for her. I don't see a problem in that at all.

Drive what you want... Let her drive what she wants. I don't get people classifying cars as girl cars or guy cars... they are 2 different styles bottom line. I chose the xA coz I found the xB's looks boring(this is just my opinion don't flame me)

Get what you want. The majority of Scion's Ive seen, both xA and xB's, are driven by men.

Both my Wife and I have his and her Scions. She has the B while I have the A, both cars are sweet i really don't care in fact I see alot of old people driving the XB. GO FIGURE!!!

I think it's weird that SHE likes the xB, everyone knows the tC is the Scion for chicks to drive...

She actually likes the tC the best, but also like the xB and is going to go with it since she wants something roomy to go on long trips with and also to move our stuff around around (i.e. buy furniture, electronics, etc.).

I'm the one that is into sporty rides, and you would think the tC would be my first choice, but I like the xA better mainly due to the fact that it's several hundred pounds lighter and that I like it's unique styling. I don't like cookie cutter designs. You don't "love" the car the same if it doesn't have some quirkiness to it.

Also, if I got a tC I could see myself wishing I would've gotten a Civic Si, Mazda 3, or all the other competitors out there. Not saying that the tC is worse then those cars, but it actually has viable competition.

The xA on the other hand doesn't really have any competitors. I mean, there is no way I would ever wish I would've gotten a Kia Rio, Chevy Aveo, or Hyundai Accent instead. The xA is head and shoulders better then those cars.

Get the XA for yourself. It has been proven in scientific studies that the smartest, sexiest people drive the XA.

2 of the 3 xB's in my parking lot in Philly are driven by women. I don't see too many xA's at all in this area.

If anybody has a problem with you driving an xA or your girlfriend driving an xB...
...then it's their problem. Don't worry (too much) about what other people think.
